Charles Church

A full revamp of the Charles Church site focusing on the user needs. The project research indicated how users search for new homes and this was implemented into the new website. Many new features were included with users able to build their own brochure, view a fully interactive site plan that shows houses sold and also the ability to winnow down results based on number of rooms and price – all in real time linked to the back office systems of Charles Church.

Hotelnet

Hotelnet is a brand of Superbreak. This site, originally developed in India, has a very good search history being established since the late 90′s. The site was redesigned and refactored from ColdFusion to .NET 3.5 under the MVC framework. In its final iteration the site was further developed in Russia and included the Superbreak web services feed to power the hotel search facility.

Needlecase required a web site to complement their bricks and mortar business selling wool and sewing supplies. The market is quite vibrant and emerging at present thanks to the uptake of crafts at home, a full keyword research programme took place and the site was built around the research to a very modest budget.

Superbreak

The Superbreak website is a travel site that takes in excess of £60m per annum. The site runs on a large hosting platform in excess of 30 servers and originally ran under ColdFusion but was later moved to .NET 3.5 within the MVC framework. The site undertook a number of design and usability revamps to ensure the customer received the best possible experience from a site offering a wealth of products. Hotel Contracting System

The hotel contracting system was an antiquated paper based process partly automated. Its purpose was to allow a team to add a hotel to the booking process, but had 10 different entry points – meaning sometimes that one person would enter hotel details and then another would print them out and enter them into another system. I reviewed the whole process and came up with a fully automated process by joining a number of IT based systems using web services and a web front end – meaning data can be entered from anywhere in the world – and flows through the other parts of the company.
